Northern Mattress & Furniture 1st was founded as a Mattress Manufacturing Company in 1950 by the Redman family. Today, Northern Mattress & Furniture 1st is a third generation service business which is owned by a Maine born, raised, and educated family. In August 2010 the Redman family decided to pay homage to their founding by combining Priceless Mattress & Furniture with Northern Mattress Co., becoming Northern Mattress & Furniture 1st. Today, Northern Mattress & Furniture 1st operates three locations in Central Maine.
